Why is there no cell phone reception on top of a hill?
The specific area is the Oakland hills, California. No one ever gets reception there, which is very clear usually, with no overhead obstructions. Someone said there might be an interfering antenna nearby, but I dunno.
Just so you know, this is for a project on cell phones.
pretty much depends on how high the hill up is. if it's high, then u won't get reception because the cell towers broadcast across and down, not upwards. if it's low....maybe you're just too far away from a cell tower or there's a radio receiver in the ground. there's a lot of those in my city.
