I bought a set of Affinity golf clubs, I used them at the driving range and now there is a dent in the bottom?
I am fairly new to golfing and I recently bought a cheap set of clubs. I took them out to the driving range to see how they worked. When I was finished using the driver and was putting the head cover back on the club when I noticed a large dent on the bottom of the club. How does something like that happen? Is it something that I might be doing wrong? Or is it because I bought a cheaper set of clubs? The Clubs are Affinity and I would appreciate any help.
Other poster is largely right. Driver is probably a "titanium composite" or "titanium matrix" driver which is a fancy way of saying aluminum since titanium is naturally present in small quantities in aluminum. Take them back where you got them, they should replace the club or set.
I am curious as to your description of the dent. You say "bottom" of the club, is that the sole or the bottom portion of the face of the club? The sole being the part of the club head with the writing on it. If it's actually on the sole, and not on the face of the club you MAY have a difficult time returning the club as a dent there smacks of abuse, not of normal usage.
